My Project

Each year we work hard to make learning fun and engaging for our students through classroom transformation.

Classroom transformation take students to a new world and allow us to engage our students in deep learning while they have fun, so much fun in fact that they often forget how hard they are working.

With the funding of this project, I will be able to get a giant 10 foot by 20 foot backdrop that will instantly transform my classroom into a tropical rainforest. This backdrop will be up for over a month in my classroom. I will use it for our month-long Pandora science classroom transformation where students review all science content from 3rd and 4th grade in preparation for our 5th grade State test.

This project also includes a one year subscription to Generation Genius filled with videos to engage them in science learning, think Bill Nye but more current. These videos are used in conjunction with our regular science curriculum in an effort to make things a little more fun. The 5th graders absolutely love them!

Lastly, this project also includes LED lights and a grabber tool to help me decorate for various classroom transformations.

Keeping kids engaged and keeping them excited to learn is my number one priority. I want my students to leave each day wanting to come back the next. With your support, I will be able to continue to make memorable learning experience for my students.
