My Project

I work at a school on a military base that has students that move in and out very frequently. Many of our students have some high sensory needs. Our school has dedicated a room to those students and now we have our very own sensory room! This will be a great place for our students to decompress and learn how to regulate their bodies. The sensory lights will help this area feel more welcoming and relaxing for our students.

My goal for this project is for all of our students to have reduced stress, reduced aggression and increased focus.

I know this sensory classroom will help, and with the sensory lights the environment will be warm, soft, comforting and welcoming for our students whose lives are always changing.
