Lightning Thief Book Study to Inspire Readers

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

These books will help my students to participate in a book study. We will use the books to study the characters, setting, and plot of the Lightning Thief. We will also compare certain chapters of the book to the new Disney adaptation. With state testing being almost over, I want my students to be able to do something a little more creative and independent. I think this will help to foster a love for reading and inspire them to read other books! My sixth grade scholars are so special to me! They are caring, hilarious, and future leaders.
