Lighting Up Our Learning

My Project

The classroom is a place where students should want to come and learn every day, a place where they feel comfortable and welcomed. Students should want to come to school and get excited about what they will be doing and what they will be learning!

A huge part of my job as an educator is to create an environment that is not only conducive to learning, but is calming, inviting, and safe.

Sometimes that means transforming my classroom to a specific theme that will engage my students and excite them to jump into the lesson! Other times that means creating a more chill mood and relaxed atmosphere where deeper thinking can occur without distractions. Lighting plays a huge part of both transformations. With the lamps we are requesting, I would have the ability control the amount of light in my entire classroom, creating the different settings needed for the various lesson goals and outcomes.
