Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." -Benjamin Franklin

I have 24 students who are very creative, loving, and who are always eager to learn.

It is many of my student's first year in school, so as a teacher, it is important that they have all of the materials they need to succeed and enjoy their first year. I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.

The light table manipulatives will help my students' development of a wide range of skills, including fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, pre-writing skills, color recognition, and more! They will be able to use the Translucent Bears and Translucent Linking Cubes to count, sort by color, and create patterns. The Spelly Straws will allow them to create words and put the letters in alphabetical order.

With these materials, my students will have an opportunity to learn through play! A light table allows students to have a creative space to learn new math and literacy skills and it also allows for my sensory students to get that much-needed time to explore and learn hands-on.
