This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Legos have long been a favorite manipulative for children during playtime. These small size pieces offer opportunities for tactile and kinesthetic experiences.
Playing with Legos encourages children to explore, discover, and create projects relative to the world around them through hands-on experiences.
The grasping, twisting pieces together, and pulling pieces apart will aide in hand-eye coordination and hand strength.
Children will be able to utilize these manipulatives to improve their sense of spatial awareness.
Through block building children will learn how things fit (or do not fit) together. Through play, learning will promote problem-solving skills.
