it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a low income school faced with CA budget crunches. I have high hopes that with quality science materials students will be able to reach a higher level of scientific understanding. In low income areas, sustainability approaches are sometimes overlooked.
My students are enthusiastic students who enjoy science.
I will be teaching them for a second year as I continue with this enthusiastic 2/3 grade class. At our school we are implementing various sustainable approaches to understanding the environment and scientific concepts. In the past Donorschoose.org has been able to help our school create a community with the materials we have received, and we are hoping this project will do the same.

This energy alternatives kit will help us look at energy with a sustainable approach especially in our times of oil spills where students need to feel empowered in a world they see through media as falling apart.
It is my hope that when you fund this project you are realizing your money is not only going to these students, but that you are investing in the future.
