it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Remember the harsh fluorescent lighting in your classrooms? Wasn't it a relief when your teacher turned them off? While these lights are common, they often cause discomfort and stress, particularly for neurodivergent individuals.
Studies indicate that alternative lighting options, such as natural light or softer LED lighting, can significantly reduce eye strain, enhance concentration, and improve overall mood.
For those with sensory issues, softer lighting can decrease stress and make the learning experience more comfortable. In order to create create a classroom environment that motivates my high schoolers and makes them feel safe, I am looking to add strings of alternative light sources to our classroom.
