Ms. Robbins from Hope Mills NC is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need Amazon Fire Tablets to help increase and engage learning. This will help with cooperative and collaborative learning for the the 21st century learner.

My students walk into my classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. Many of my students lack technology resources at home, however, they live in a world were technology is a vital part of our daily lives. Teaching students that don't have access to technology means school is the only exposure they get to using up to date technology resources. How are our students going to be prepared for the world outside school without these resources.
I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of their parents have to work 2-3 jobs to make ends meet for their children. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
Technology is such a large part of education in the 21st century classroom. Today's students are much more savvy with technology. In conjunction, technology is a great way to motivate learning in students. However, our Title 1 school has a limited number of computer carts which makes it difficult to get the technology in their hands.
The addition of tablets with accessories would provide opportunities for my students to work collaboratively on projects, designing presentations, and make learning more meaningful through various apps and websites available.
Having access to online programs daily will allow for engaging lessons easy differentiation, and will help to ensure growth by all students.
