My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day with big smiles on their faces, eager to learn. They genuinely want to be at school and they have the most caring hearts! We have a strong community where we help each other learn and grow.

I teach at a Title I school where majority of our students did not have the opportunity to attend preschool.

100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch, and most students receive food bags for the weekend. Despite these hardships, my students are enthusiastic, loving, and try their best every day!

My Project

When an inviting learning space is created, children are naturally drawn in and actively engaged in educational activities through play without even realizing it. Light tables are an excellent resource for not only science and discovery, but they can also be used for literacy, writing, and math.

This light table will allow my students to participate in daily interactive activities during morning arrival and at our independent learning centers.

During this purposeful play and exploration time, my students will use manupulatives to build, spell, and create. This light table will provide my students the opportunity to explore and collaborate with peers, all while experiencing the calming effects of the visual stimulation.
