You can LIGHT-UP my students world! I teach great kids in a small town. I teach 8th grade social studies (History) and love watching my students grow! Our district has been hit with the "budget crunch", as have many districts across the country, and we lost funds for new white boards and my room and students have lost out! I like to teach using as much technology that I can and not getting the white board hurt! I now have turned to you for my backup plan...and that is a light box! I can teach with my computer and a light box! Having PowerPoints and other notes projected on the wall in my classroom with be the next best thing to a white board! Please help me keep my students more involved and excited about learning! You can help "Light-Up" their world and my classroom!
My students love the PowerPoint presentations and notes I give on the computer! The only problem is the TV that I have in my room is very small and the school's light boxes are often times checked out! The videos we watch on e-streamline and the presentations I give are simply not as good because the students simply get tired of watching the small TV in my room!
A light box (or projector) can be connected to my computer and many of my lessons can be run through the light box and projected onto the wall! My students miss out on so much right now because I don't use some of the slides and presentations because the TV is too small. What little I do on the TV for the kids, they love it, its sometimes causes more problems than good do to all the shifting that has to be do to get a good view of the little TV.
You can be the one to make a difference in a child's life! The more we keep the kids engaged the more they will learn and you have the opportunity to help! Help me light-up History...with your help we can do it!!!
