My Students
I'm so honored to work with a group of kids as hard working and adaptable as my Crownhill kids. They come from diverse backgrounds, and they always come together as a classroom family to help each other grow. A day doesn't go by without a word of encouragement from one student to another. I'm proud to be able to teach such an incredible group of kids.
This pandemic has provided an opportunity for growth on both our parts, but we need resources to make it happen!
Despite this hardship, I know our staff and students will rise to the challenge and make this year a successful one!
My Project
It is a fact that students enjoy reading more when they read authentic texts that inspire them and that they can relate to! Stella by Starlight serves as a bridge into another time, but it connects to the issues of today.
Stella by Starlight will help students connect history and the present in a meaningful way.
I would like to provide each 4th grade child with a book they can use for at home learning to both serve them in an equitable way, and to help keep them engaged and excited about reading!
