Light Tables for Little Learners

My students need light tables and materials for exploring to spark their curiosity and creativity. The Constructive Playthings LED Light Panel can be used in a wide variety of ways - exploring light, color, and literacy!

My Students

The learners in my school come from a wide variety of backgrounds and needs. My class has a large number of students with disabilities and special needs including ESL, speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. These students along with our regular education students who perform at or above grade level create a unique learning environment.

Studies show that quality early childhood programming provide children with a great start to their school career.

Our goal is to provide a place to be creative and curious while also learning to be great people!

My Project

The light tablet will provide a way for my little learners to explore light, color and even literacy. Many items can be added to the light table throughout the year to continue sparking creativity and curiosity.

Creativity and curiosity are key components of our district strategic plan and I'm excited to embed more inviting activities into our daily experiences.

The light table lends itself to providing many hands-on literacy, math, and science experiences! On a recent trip to a science museum, I was intrigued by all of the children being drawn to the light table - exploring and creating.
