Light Table Needed to Illuminate Our Students' Learning

My students need a Light Table with sensory activities to support their fine motor skills as well as their inquiry and exploration skills.

My Students

Our students are four year old children that love communicating. writing, and exploring. They LOVE all things hands-on and colorful!

They are motivated to learn through social interactions with their peers and teachers.

Our students are very diverse in both culture and learning styles. Most of our students are from low income families and will greatly benefit from your donations. Please help us fulfill our classroom needs so that our students may have the best learning opportunities available to them.

My Project

Our students prefer the sensory bin in our science center over all the other manipulatives in that area. However, the sensory bin we have now is small and leaves them little room to enjoy the activities at hand. The bins are not deep enough for them to play in without having things spill out. A new Light Table with sensory activities would help eliminate those problems for our students.

Sensory play is essential in the Pre-K classroom because it helps students gain fine motor skills as well as inquiry and exploration skills.

Our students will be able to learn to play, create, explore, and investigate using the scientific process that they will gain from using the light table with sensory manipulatives. They will also be able to explore colors and light using the different light settings offered by the light table.

We feel that our students will greatly benefit from the use of these items and will carry the skills they learn with them through the rest of their educational experience.
