My Project
I have a group of 12 preschoolers with special needs who love to learn and play through their senses. I use rice, beans, kinetic sand, Play-Doh and other sensory activities to keep my little stars engaged during the school day. We do not currently have any light table in our classroom and my students would absolutely love the sensory input one would provide. For my little learners, a light table would provide them the perfect fun learning opportunity for creative tasks, fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, and pre-writing skills. In addition, a light table can be very beneficial to facilitate visual tracking, visual scanning, eye-hand coordination, visual discrimination, and visual perceptual skills for students with visual impairment.
