This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in my General Art One and Two classes learn many different drawing topics and techniques. We spend a whole unit exploring pencil drawings, focusing on shading techniques and value. We then apply these techniques to portraits and figure drawing. When drawing things like the human form, some students struggle with getting accurate proportions on their own.
Having light boxes will allow for my students to first trace the outline of the form to help them get the accurate proportion before adding the rest of the details on their own.
