My Project
There is evidence that students learn more at times when learning from other students. Peer tutoring is one way for many students to grasp a concept sometimes easier than when it's presented by an adult. They are more comfortable practicing and trying new methods to figuring out problems.
Older students love to share their expertise with younger students while both thrive from the experience.
Younger students can see mathematical relationships when using manipulatives and using a light table enhances that experience exponentially. There is a lot of excitement for both the younger and older students when using more of their senses while doing math.
