My students are from a high at-risk city school in North Carolina. Our school has around 530 students enrolled and 98% who qualify for free or reduced price lunch. We are also a Title I school.
Our students absolutely love and need hands-on experiences when learning!
During Media, we want our students to collaborate together to explore and learn about new topics while pulling in literacy. I am new to this school and am in the process of revamping our school media center. We want to implement STEM, PBLs, and collaboration into our media instruction. We believe we really can keep students engaged and can become critical thinkers with your help. We are also in need of current book titles and easy readers to help our PreK-2 students do research and find their love for reading.
My Project
Chibitronics are wonderful tools to help students have hands on experiences with circuit work. Circuits need to be taught with a hands on or visual tool. Giving students the chance to create and explore is so meaningful.
These supplies will truly light up learning for our students.
They will be able to take what they have learned in Science class and apply it in diffferent projects. I can see so many possibilities with these kits. I know our students will start to understand how circuits work with these supplies. They will start to grow a love for STEM which is what they need for their future.
