My Students
I teach technology to grades Kindergarten through third grade in a Title I school in Brooklyn, New York. Many of my students are from families that fall below the poverty line. I have students of varying levels, special needs, and languages all in the technology lab at the same time.
Many of my students do not have access to technology at home so when they come to the technology lab they are excited and eager to learn and get to work.
My students are bright, cheerful, loving, excited, and eager to learn.
My Project
When my kiddos come to the technology lab I want to be able to expose them to as many experiences as possible, as well as giving them the opportunity to explore their interests. Having 5 Amazon Fire 7 tablets will make that happen.
Having 5 Amazon Fire 7 tablets will not only allow my kiddos to practice their academics they will also give them opportunities to explore their creative side.
The tablets will be used in several ways. My kiddos will be able to use the various academic apps to practice and reinforce reading and math skills. They will use them to complete research for projects they are working on in their other classes. Having the tablets will also give my kiddos the opportunity to explore their creative side using them to create videos.
