Light Accessories

Help me give my students light table accessories to engage students in learning.

My Students

My students have special and unique needs. They are all different learners and on different levels. Lots of the students are delayed in language, academics, and social skills with some students being nonverbal and autistic.

Many of my students have been identified as special education students in need of early literacy, math, communication, and social skills.

My students' ages range from 3-4 years old and they all have enthusiastic learning outlooks. Each of them has unique personalities; yet, they are all different.

My Project

My students absolutely LOVE our light table. I can keep my students engaged in learning for a long period of time when using the light table. Problem is we only have a few items. Therefore, giving my students light table accessories such as double sided magnetic letter tiles along with translucent letters and numbers will help my students manipulate their name and identifying numbers during a literacy/math lesson. The translucent lacing buttons will help with fine motor skills as the translucent bugs can be used to sort by different attributes.

Light tables provide fun learning opportunity for creative tasks, fine motor development, and hand-eye coordination which is great for young learners.

Not only will my students learn academics with the light table accessories, but they will be able to let their imagination run WILD while playing with the artic and jungle magna tiles.
