My students need these books to enrich their learning experiences, as well as support many of our MA state standards, such as sequencing, making predictions, and learning new vocabulary. They need puppet and storytelling kits too.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is supporting 28 students ranging from 3-5 years old. The class is made up of students with and without disabilities and of all races and backgrounds. All of my students come from low income families, from the City of Springfield. Preschool is a child's first school experience, and my goal is to make it a positive and special experience for each and every student!
I am looking to create life-time learners who are excited about school and all the opportunities it has to offer them!
In our school, when we are moving, we are learning! All of my students participate in literacy, math, science, social studies, art, music, and movement activities, in a variety of ways, based on their own personal abilities.
My Project
These hands-on materials will support my student's in a variety of ways. Materials such as visuals and puppets allow children to become active in literacy. While they are just beginning, these materials will excite them and allow them to be independent story tellers. The non-fiction set allows students to analyze real life photographs about topics they are learning about. These books will be in their learning centers, as well as a part of the classroom library. A lover of books will become a lover of learning. As they grow and learn, my preschoolers will learn the importance of literacy forever!
