My Project

This year, I have the honor of teaching 25 sweet, smart, and adorable little loves in grades 1 and 3 who experience learning disabilities. How lucky am I? All of my students experience various difficulties with learning in the general education setting and need a little extra support (AKA: lovin'!) from a special education teacher (that's me!) My students are all diagnosed with various disabilities from learning disabled to ADHD to autism, which makes them all totally unique and equally amazing. These picture books were carefully selected to enhance our classroom library. Something amazing happens when a child chooses to sit down with a book. That little babe is able to get lost in a whole other world... a world of excitement, laughter, and happiness! How awesome is that?! I dream of a day when I have a classroom library filled with colorful books for my students to love. Being surrounded by quality, engaging, and fun literature helps to foster a lifelong love of reading.

I wish to give my students the gift of books to love all year round!
