This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have lost a lot of learning opportunities throughout the last few years. The ever-changing world has really affected students, and I'm trying to help bridge the gap. We know physical activity is vital in young peoples' lives, and sometimes the only activity they get is during school. With this equipment, I'm trying to get my students to become healthy and active for life.

Part of our PE curriculum is having positive interactions with peers, teamwork, and other important life skills.

These sport skills are also life skills that will be utilized every day as they grow older. Games like baseball/softball, team handball, kickball, bean bag toss, and -the ever growing in popularity-Pickleball (just to name a few) are all wonderful opportunities for them to show off their skills, in games and in life.
