Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
While teaching in a Title I- Special Education classroom, supplies are limited for my classroom. My students need substantial support with basic life skills and coping skills for a better educational experience.
By supporting my request of donations, you will be helping my students receive a more engaging way to learn life skills and coping skills.
Students in middle school struggle to retain much information as their brain continues to develop, but I want to provide the lessons in an engaging way such as providing incentives, scented markers, an organizing area to organize our weekly focuses.
I plan on using the books to teach engaging lessons for life skills and coping skills. The utility cart, bookshelf and organizational materials will be used as a form for students to learn how to organize things such as books, folding clothes, etc. The erasers and markers can be used as incentives for students to use as they work on activities and the small prizes can be used as rewards.
Although the education of all students is very important, I know that my students can use a lot of support especially being in Special Education classes. Thank you.
