My quaint, darling school is nestled in a rural community with 11 precious three year-olds and 14 equally precious four year-olds. The majority of my students are English language learners and are economically disadvantaged. This is my first year as a special education pre-kindergarten teacher, and I dream of giving them hands-on learning to bridge the academic gap, give them a head start to success, and connect the English language to meaningful content. I am truly blessed to be these children's teacher. They are so full of curiosity and deserve the best!
My Project
In this project, you will find many different career pretend play sets! It will provide options for all students, especially those with special needs, to explore many careers and practice critical life skills! Students will be able to take care of children, do laundry, clean, become doctors, astronauts, servers, store clerks, business owners, police officers, fire chiefs, and much more! Please help me provide an appropriate space for all my exceptional children to thrive and develop the skills needed to succeed in and out of school!
There is a place for everyone to develop critical communication, problem solving, social-emotional regulation, and the incredibly important life skills!
At this age, students are under more and more pressure to perform academically. We need not forget to teach them to dream, think, and how to thrive in the real world. This foundation is built in Pre-K and we desperately need the furniture and materials to do so!
