Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students suffer from a variety of disabilities and their attention span is hard to keep. Having real life experiments grow in front of them will allow for instant instruction.

My students are contained in a Life Skills Unit.

This is considered the most restricted environment. Their behaviors, as well as their medical needs, warrants a placement so confined. They are full of energy and happiness. They range from severe Autism to Other Health Impairments.

My Project

Having a Life Science kit in the classroom will allow my students to get a "front row" seat to experiments that will teach Life Science skills. My students will be able to watch a plant grow from the beginning through the sprouting. My students will benefit from watching the plant grow from day to day.

Having this Life Science kit donated will help motivate my students because the clear grow box will give them a visual.

We are a poverty stricken population and are funds are limited to essentials like wipes, diapers and sanitizers.
