Life Skills Needed!

Help me give my students wiggle cushions, glitter tubes, rapper snappers, fidget grabits, and sensory brushes to achieve their full potential by providing them with life skills, social interaction resources, and with much need sensory reinforcers.

My Students

My students from the Bronx are part of a District 75 Middle School Program for children with special needs. My students are inquisitive, energetic, and are in great need of hands-on sensory tools to help them attend and become successful.

Each of my students have individual learning styles and require various sensory supports.

But the one thing they have in common is that they love to engage in hands-on activities. My goal this year is to work on life skills to help prepare them for the future.

My Project

Sensory tools and flexible seating cushions will help aid my students to take charge of their learning and make choices that work best for them.

I am currently pushing into 4 classes daily.

Many of my students require visual, verbal, and gestural supports to remain on task. Students will often need to hold onto sensory tools to remain on task. If possible for my students I will have them earn a break to use their desired sensory reinforcers once they have attended to the desired task.

Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. The glitter tubes, rapper snappers, abilitataion fidget grabits and sensory brushes will be of great assistance with helping my students attend to lessons that review life skills and social interactions.

I have noticed amazing differences when I provide my students with various sensory tools. Your support will add to the much additional tools to my growing class size.
