Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are requesting Life Skills and STEAM materials. These funds will serve students with various disabilities as well as being in a Title 1 school.

We intend to use balance blocks, balls, and jump ropes to enhance overall body strength while also engaging in building and creative activities during STEAM sessions.

The Cricut will be instrumental in creating name templates for students to practice name recognition and writing. Sensory bottles will provide a valuable resource for students in our classroom's calm-down corner. Headphones will be employed multiple times each day during technology sessions, allowing students to work on individualized projects tailored to their specific abilities. Additionally, science viewers will facilitate the introduction of real-world scientific examples into the classroom throughout the week.

Collectively, these materials will make the learning of life skills and STEAM engaging and interactive for our students in the special education setting.
