It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get up." -- Vince Lombardi
Our school is a middle city school with a diverse group of students.
Our school is a Title I school, and any and all donations are greatly appreciated. The items we have received from DonorsChoose.org and other grants go a long way.
Our students are driven to always do their best, but they struggle without adequate supplies. These students are used to making it without a lot and they know what it is to struggle. We want to give these students our very best because they are our present and future!
My Project
In my classroom, one of the main focuses is making sure my students have the daily living skills needed to function after high school. We have a group of exceptional learners that complete tasks around the school to serve others. The washer and dryer would be used for teaching sorting, washing, and folding skills. I have been working with the coaches, and they need support keeping uniforms, towels, and practice gear clean for all sports.
Let's face it, many students with disabilities do not get much experience in school sports due to varying medical, physical, and mental disabilities.
This is an awesome project because we are hoping that this will build student relationships with coaches. How EXCITING!
