This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our student-led coffee shop is a powerful platform for growth and learning, specifically designed for students with disabilities. Gaining financial knowledge is crucial for developing independence, and through this initiative, our students will actively engage in managing a real business, allowing them to gain invaluable hands-on experience. Students will learn essential financial concepts, such as budgeting, pricing, and profit calculation.
Through daily operations, students will develop skills in customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Running a coffee shop will empower students to interact with the community and build self-esteem.
Students will make purchases, plan budgets, and keep track of sales, helping them grasp financial concepts in a practical context. Engaging with customers will enhance communication skills and foster a sense of responsibility.
Our students will also learn about food safety, preparation, and inventory management. By supporting our coffee shop, you will help students with disabilities gain vital life skills that promote independence and responsibility. Your contribution will create a lasting impact, empowering our students to thrive in both personal and professional environments.
