My Project

We are a middle school life skills classroom for students on the autism spectrum in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

This project will provide our students with multiple skills they need to work on and improve to be active members in our community.

Life skills we are working on include; tying shoes, zipping, unbuttoning, and buttoning coats, pants, etc., identifying feelings, learning new coping skills when faced with an emotion, identifying objects to follow one step directions, counting objects with 1:1 correspondence.

Leisure skills we can build upon with this project include, bowling.
