My Students
The thing that makes my school unique is that the children are mostly bilingual. They come from all different backgrounds and cultures and come together to learn and grow. These students are considered at risk due to poverty, being ELL and family support. With this being said my students work hard and are sweet people with good hearts. I want nothing more than to help them and their families to learn and grow. I have faith they will make a difference in the community in the years to come.
My Project
My students will be learning a lot of about insects and how they interact with the environment. I would love to be able to have real insects and plants in the classroom for them to observe and interact with. This will help teach the lessons as well as give my students something to care for an look forward to seeing change and grow. We are back in the classroom for the first time in a year and a half and the students need exciting engaging lessons to keep them interested and focused on the subjects.
