This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Studies show students who read more outside of the allotted school reading time for enjoyment, will be more successful in their future by creating life long readers. Providing my students with more book choices (fiction and non-fiction) will support my goal of creating life long readers.

Many students do not like reading anymore due to stress of testing, but it only takes the right book to engage them back into the wonderful worlds they can experience through captivating books.

The students I teach are the most caring and respectful young children. They are from a very small low socioeconomic community and lack background knowledge and experiences. They deserve to have resources to close the gap. Engaging, thrilling books are a wonderful start.
