My Students
I have been a special ed teacher in a diverse and urban school for over three years now. My students are ELL, special needs, and a mixer of general education students. I am absolutely dedicated and passionate about what I do. I could not imagine doing anything else.
Year after year I have the pleasure of educating small minds that ranges from severely below grade to above grade level.
My class consists of students who are from low socio background.
I have always had an inclusive classroom with students who have learning differences or are intellectually disabled. Every year I have at least one student with autism, and many others with a learning disability. Interestingly, despite my master's degree in special education, I struggle to find digital resources that cater to all my students and I feel like this is a huge dent in my professional development that needs to be filled. My Project
I am requesting a subscription to Study.com. Any teacher who can lead by example is worthy of assistance to help with the continuous growth process. I believe I have what it takes to become an excellent writer who will present lessons and instructions from a diverse and scholarly standpoint. The use of these digital resources is a perfect example of what it takes to be a great student who is willing to take back what she learned to the classroom. The resources will give me a wide variety of reading materials at different levels to help all my students achieve success at their present academic level.
I want to take my students to new heights of learning by demonstrating that as a student myself, my writing and digital literacy will need growth and attention just as much as theirs do.
