This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Animal Science is important to all of my students. They love animals and it is my mission to teach my students all the great things in the Animal Science Industry! I want my students to learn the ins and outs of the industry and be able to be successful. Many of my students want to be Veterinarians and although many times they are told that is a steep goal from others, I always make sure to encourage them and keep them motivated to do great things!

My Project

We will use the Melissa and Doug Lifelike Stuffed Animal Dog to practice multiple veterinarian practices such as restraining and medicine administration for our Advanced Animal Science class as well as Veterinarian Medical Applications Class. The Labrador and the Boston Terrier are prime examples of common dogs in the clinics.

Being able to practice on life like models helps better prepare the students for competition and real life situations.

Our students will be able to take the skills they learn with the Melissa & Doug Giant Black Lab - Lifel ike Stuffed Animal Dog to take into the real world and future careers.
