Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I believe that all my students are unique with different skills which makes each of them special in their own way. They are always happy to be in school eager to learn!
Our school mission is to erase the opportunity gap in our community.
My students come from low income families which makes if very difficult to be exposed to different life learning experiences; therefore, they are growing with disadvantages. By providing my students with extracurricular activity I would give them a opportunity to be able to experience an activity they might never get a chance outside of school. I want to positively impact students’ lives on and off school environment.
My project is focus in an extracurricular activity, a soccer club. I wanna offer my students an opportunity that for most of them would not be possible outside school. Some of the benefits my students would gain from participating are to stay fit and healthy because playing soccer is great exercise that improves cardiovascular health, increases coordination, improves strength and enhances flexibility. Teamwork, because they would have to work together as a team in order to be successful. Also, it would help them develop their character as they make decisions on and off the field. Students will learn the fundamental soccer principles, such as using their feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game.
