This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently teach in a title-one school district where our funding is low. I teach a Special Education LIFE Skills classroom with 10 students from grades kinder-5th. I believe, as a special education teacher, our students deserve everything in order to be successful learners. While I've taken everything I can get from our district funding and put in countless paychecks to my students, they deserve more than I am able to give. Aside from assertive technology, adaptive teaching resources, flexible seating, etc. my students deserve to walk into a safe, happy, and motivating learning environment.

Please help my incredible students with disabilities obtain all of the resources they need to be successful learners and community members by donating to my classroom!

It is my dream to finally have all of the teaching resources they need.

My Project

My district is title-one and our funding is low. My students do not learn through generic teaching techniques, they are Unique learners who require tons of resources; some which I can not simply provide them. I believe it's unfair when I am unable to provide them with the resources they deserve. Velcro, laminating sheets and magnetic tape give me the ability to create hands-on learning materials and activities for my students in which they enjoy. Plastic boxes allow me to create independent work boxes to assure my students are accountable and completing independent work just as their general education peers are. Please help me provide the very best for my students with disabilities; they are awesome and truly deserve it!
