Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year my goal is to encourage students to let go of their imagination and expand their vocabulary through books. My students love reading books every opportunity they have, so I want to take advantage of this and help my students increase their vocabulary. Reading books is vital all students.

The more my students read, the more words they will gain exposure to, and they'll inevitably make their way into their everyday vocabulary.

I'm also requesting chair pockets for them to place their novels and have them accessible to them. When students are done with classwork they get their novels and library books to read while they wait for the rest of the class to finish. This would be very practical for them to be able to have their novels in their chair pockets.
