This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Second grade is suffering! I work for an inner city school in Texas, and I have a very creative group of students this year! We have been working hard all year on writing skills, and a big part of the learning process for them is drawing.
Broken crayons, dry markers and absolutely no paint is what I have for my second grade students to work with. They are so grateful for what they have. . . but I know they wish they had fresh supplies to work with. We need the basics. . . crayons, markers, a variety of paint, and paintbrushes.
