Life Is About Making Mistakes, Now Let's Learn From Them
Help me give my students an iPad Pro to be used as an interactive learning tool in the classroom, helping tap into different learning modalities and assist with their long-term learning.
This project expired on March 12, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
The students I work with have come a long way. They have been diagnosed with Emotional Disturbance suffering from some sort of trauma in their lives. They can suffer from extreme depression to having difficulty managing their behaviors.
We all make mistakes in life, we all bleed and hurt the same way as others, but it is how we deal with our mistakes that makes us who we are.
This is exactly why my students come to us, to learn on how they can make better decisions in their lives so the future can be filled with more positive outcomes where they may be given the opportunity to live a happy and normal life. Yes, my student may not be perfect and we don't expect anyone to be. We do want them to face life whether it be good or bad decisions they make, they must be able to learn from them and move on. We only want them to be as successful as they can be. Because we believe in them.
An Apple iPad Pro will allow our students to become more creative when it comes to solving one of their problems. In our class we emphasize family unity and positive learning opportunities. Student choices have good or bad outcomes depending on how they look at it. The iPad Pro will allow for students to use the technology to be more creative when conducting a presentation to their peers.
We emphasize the development of an optimistic mentality.
In other words teaching them to look at the glass half full and not half empty. Students increase their social emotional tolerance to increase their positive look on life and treat others with respect.
