Life Experiences Through Play

Help me give my students a stand for their housecleaning set, new dollhouse furniture, and a play mailbox.

My Project

This set will aid in pretend play. Students will be able to build social skills while mocking everyday activities that they see at home such as cooking, cleaning, etc. One of our standards is for students to be able to build complex pretend-play skills.

I would like to see all of my students be successful at pretend play.

This project will give my students ample opportunities throughout the year to pretend to be parents, cook, clean, mail a letter, and more.

These students are the youngest learners of our school district. Many come from low-income homes and they don't get a chance to go to places that offer pretend play such as museums or other pretend play centers. School is the only place they get those opportunities to build social skills or even pretend play skills.
