My Students

My students thirst for knowledge and wisdom, but often lack the resources to quench their thirst. Sometimes, they even lack the most basic life essentials, like sanitary products.

My school is located in Queens, N.Y., the most culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhood in the world.

The children who enter my classroom, come from all over NYC. As such, they carry with them a wealth of knowledge, that contributes to a dynamic classroom. However, many of my students also come from economically disadvantaged homes. Therefore, many times, resources are scarce.

My Project

Not a day goes by that my students do not ask for tissues, to alleviate a runny nose, or a bandage to cover a minor flesh wound. Young ladies discreetly ask for sanitary products. Maintaining a clean and healthy environment is clearly a life essential. I am asking for the basic life essentials like sanitary napkins, tissues, hand sanitizers, bandages, and cleaning supplies so they can thrive in the classroom.

Many times the students lack the most basic supplies, which would not only help them remain clean, but also focused on their studies.

The products I am asking for will be used exclusively by students who are in need of such products.
