My students need essential life items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, school uniforms and toilet tissue. They also snacks such as chips, Pop-Tarts, Caprisun and breakfast bars.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are very motivated to learn. The students are well-behaved, friendly, and caring towards one another. They love to come to school to learn. Our school is working hard to "Build a Community of Lifelong Learners." The school is a positive environment and a safe haven for our students.
My students attend a Title I school, where the majority of students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
The students in my class love school; every day the students come in smiling and ready to learn.
My Project
People say that being a kid is easy just wait until you grow up. Sometimes being a kid is harder than you think. This project will provide much needed essentials for my students. I have students who live in hotels, with family or family friends. They need everyday items such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes and school uniforms.
Sometimes coming to school is the best part my students' day.
The students at my school get free breakfast. However occasionally due to circumstances beyond their control some of my students are late and miss breakfast. This project will allow me to keep breakfast items such As breakfast bars, orange juice, Caprisun and Pop-Tarts on hand to feed them if thy miss breakfast. The microwave will allow me to heat up a snack for them if necessary. I will also be able to provide them with a snack such as chips and animal crackers before they go home each day.
