This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
About My Students
My class is comprised of very motivated, special education students. My students come from less than ideal homes and in most situations, school is the warmest part of their day. Despite their personal situations, they come to school each day wanting to learn. Isaac seeks guidance in school.
Our students have no soap! They need to be able to wash their hands after using the bathroom or blowing their noses. Believe or not, we need funding for this life essential and without private donors, it doesn't seem that were going to get it. Our students want to be clean!
Being clean is a fundamental right and need for students around the world. Students need to practice basic hygiene and develop hygienic habits as they grow into adults. Fundamental hygienic principles are the basis for academic skills, social emotional skills and real-lift problem-solving.

We just want some soap! That's all! It's not too much. We just need soap in the classroom and in the bathrooms. It keeps our hands clean when we need it. Please help out. Thank you. - Angel
Soap is something we can use at all times. We can use it in the morning, after lunch, after a bathroom break. I think we should have this and it would be good for everyone here. -Isaac
We've got to have soap to clean ourselves up. It's really essential. I want soap so I can have clean hands and not worry about being dirty after we go outside or I slap someones hands. Also I don't want to get sick. -Angel
