Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A lot of my students have some form of Spanish in their lives. We have a large population that are on free and reduced lunch. My students are eager to learn and always happy when they get to try new things. They are very competitive with each other and love to challenge each other in their learning, whether it be how many books they have read in AR or what level they are on in math facts.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting have eager hands and minds waiting for them. My second graders learn about life cycles each year. These items would be a great addition to my curriculum.
Students need items that are being talked about that they can touch and see.
These items would do just that. I think the viewfinder will be the biggest hit of all. I remember those from when I was a child.
Not every students learns just by reading from a book. The lifecycle buckets will be great for the students who need to visually see the different types of animal life cycles.
