My Students

Learning is not about just memorizing facts of events. It is about teaching them to learn from the past. We must give every student the ability to learn and succeed.

Our students face many multiple challenges. Some of our students are impacted by difficulties such as homelessness, military deployments. Helping them rise up and be the best they can be is my job. I want them to reach for the moon in all that they do so that they always land among the stars.

My Project

History occurs around us all day. In this amazing digital age, we have the ability to save history through cell phones, cameras, and the media. I want to provide my classroom, the opportunity to remember what photo journalism is all about.

We are requesting a Canon EOS Rebel T7i DSLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens Bundle to preserve our school's history through amazing photographs and journalism.

Our school's story will be able to be told so that one day, future students will know who we are and what we accomplished. This bundle will allow us to take amazing photographs inspiring our writers to truly understand the value of journalism. This camera bundle will allow us to record the history of our school at sporting events, graduation, school recitals, and everyday school life.

We hear today how journalism has had an impact on our world. We just recently taught a unit on Yellow Journalism​ and Muckraking. In addition, I am also requesting a Canon Powershot SX530 HS Camera with 32GB Deluxe Accessory Kit for our classroom to use on these classroom projects that will capture their understanding of our units, and how journalism impacted our history. This camera will allow my students to bring out their inner journalists! Thank you so much.
