My Students

Our students come from all different backgrounds and communities because our school is a charter school and EL learning school we do things differently so our students learn to work as a team and become a family in their classroom. I love this about our students because they learn from each other and learn to grow with each other. They learn to express their feelings and show empathy to each other as community more than just as peers in the school. I am blessed to be involved with the whole school rather than just my special students that I meet with.

My Project

I am a first year social worker at a charter school. I am my school first full time Social worker and I need this project to help my office feel like a fun safe place to learn and grow. My school is constantly growing. We have our first year 6 grader and next year 7th grade till we are full with 8th graders. I want to have this project so that my students get the best social emotional learning though the many years they are here.

As a First year social work I have a lot on my plate and I help not just my IEP students but my whole school.

Because I work with all the students I need this project to get filled so that all my students have a safe, fun place to hang out and talk about their worries, problems, or even talk about their great day.
