First things first, I have to say that my school and the students we serve are amazing! Our kiddos are so sweet and curious. Anyone who walks through our classrooms can see that our kids love to learn and be at school.
My school serves amazing students from a wide range of backgrounds.
Currently 63% of our students are English Learners who speak over six different languages. Over 97% of our kids receive free or reduced price lunches.
The teachers and students at our school work hard everyday to help the school continue to meet and exceed performance goals. In 2016, we received the California Gold Ribbon School Award. I truly enjoy doing my part to support our students with this improvement.
My students share a few headphones between 50 students. When one student gets lice they quickly spread between the students since they share headphones.
Lice is uncomfortable for my students and keeps them from attending class regularly.
Having their own set of headphones will help students learn to be responsible for their headphones. They will also be able to keep lice from spreading since they will not be sharing their headphones. Lice is very difficult and expensive for my families to try and get rid of and I will do anything in my power to keep students from getting lice. Having these headphones will be one step in the right direction of getting rid of lice in my classroom.
