This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
When you enter my classroom, you find many eager students excited to learn and very motivated! They come in everyday with goals and a mindset to move ahead and achieve them. However, materials can be limited and the more we have, the higher they will soar!
My students are a diverse population but the one thing they all have in common is a love and passion for learning.
They are all very creative, leaders, intelligent and more. Moreover, they are part of a community within the school that nurtures and promotes this love for learning with teachers, administrators and more who help support. We are a passionate and tight-knit community that understands the importance of being bilingual, particularly in both English and Spanish.
My Project
My students will use these books to continue extending their reading abilities in Spanish. These books will be added to the classroom library where they are able to choose books from different genres and a variety of levels help them choose books that are appropriate for the language learning as well. The more variety we have, the more likely we can tap into their interests and have them more engaged in reading and that will ultimately lead to more confidence and higher levels in reading overall!
The donations of this project will improve my classroom by making it more engaging and interesting for the students.
My students will use these books as a means of reaching their reading goals as well as making it fun while learning.
