My Students

We are a small town school with students who work hard for everything that they have. They thrive on education and knowledge. They know how important learning is. They aspire to go to the next level when they graduate high school. They have big dreams and great hopes for their futures.

Our students take pride in their small community and represent the town in a positive way with all of the activities that they participate in.

They are involved in speech contests, one-act plays, band and choir competitions, and sports activities. Quiz bowls, science fairs, FFA projects, mentoring programs, and scholastic competitions are also activities that our students take part in.

The students at our school are proud of their school and community. They get compliments from wait staff when they go to restaurants on their manners and respect towards people outside of the community. As a teacher at our high school, I take pride in our students and how they treat one another and others. They deserve to have the best opportunities for their education and future.

My Project

The Library Update 101 project is an attempt to update our titles in our school library. Having some variety will be welcomed by our students!

Our students are constantly wanting reading challenges and by getting a set of Newbery Award winning books - this could become one of those reading goals.

The students could not only read the titles for themselves but also read these books to the lower grade level students - which benefits everyone.

The New York Times students magazines will be a great way for students to read and to be in touch with current events. This magazine subscription could also be shared with the other school departments for lessons and co-teaching.
